IOF Medal of Achievement
IOF has introduced a prestigious new award, the IOF Medal of Achievement, to honor individual researchers who have significantly advanced the field of osteoporosis through their original and outstanding scientific contributions. The award underlines important aspect’s of IOF’s mission - to increase understanding and awareness of osteoporosis and to promote medical innovation and improved care. The IOF Medal of Achievement, which includes US$ 5,000 in prize money, will be presented every second year on the occasion of the IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis.
Instructions for nominations
The nominator should submit the nomination form, together with the curriculum vitae of the nominee, and accompanying letters of support for the nominee from both the
nominator and a seconder. In their individual letters of support, the nominator and seconder are asked to outline the key scientific achievements of the nominee, to describe how these are considered to make an
outstanding and original contribution to the field, and to indicate ways in which the nominee’s accomplishments have advanced the field.
