First EU Consultation Panel Meeting in Leiden, The Netherlands

On September 9, 2002 the consultation panel's first meeting was held in Leiden, The Netherlands. Forty participants, comprising national policy makers, osteoporosis experts and European policy makers, shared information and began to develop ideas on how best to further implement the eight recommendations outlined in the 1998 "Report on Osteoporosis in the European Community". This resulted in a new report which analyses policy developments since the 2001 audit report.
