Mrs. Fotini Papadopoulou becomes Honorary President of Society

Over 400 people, including members of parliament and medical doctors from different fields, attended a high-profile event held at the Hilton Park Hotel on May 3, 2003. The event was hosted by the Cyprus Society Against Osteoporosis with the support of Aventis Cyprus. The highlight of the occassion was the announcement of Mrs. Fotini Papadopoulou, wife of the President of Cyprus, as Honorary President of the Society. In this role, Mrs. Papadopoulou will be able to lend her support to the society and help raise awareness of osteoporosis throughout the country.
Another highlight included invited spaker Professor George Lyritis, a leading Greek osteoporosis specialist, who gave an excellent presentation on "Osteoporosis and Myoskeletal Health".
