Walking event in Lumpini Park attended by 2500 people

World Osteoporosis Day with its theme, 'Move it or Lose it', was marked by the Thai Osteoporosis Foundation in a group walking event held at Bangkok's Lumpini Park. Although held at 6:00 in the morning, the event attracted 2500 people. All were eager to catch a glimpse of Her Highness Princess Siriwanwaree Nareerat, who was the official chairperson of the WOD event and who presided at the opening ceremony which took place at Yoawaraj Pavilion. After a speech by TOPF President Dr. Khunying Kobchitt Limpaphayom and the opening by Her Highness Princess Siriwanwaree Nareerat, the walking program began. This was followed by an exhibition on osteoporosis and healthy products displayed at Piromphakdhi Pavilion. After the 7:40 departure of Her Highness Princess Siriwanwaree Nareerat, the walking program continued, with free food and drink offered to participants. An expert talk on osteoporosis, which focused on the role of exercise in bone health and the experience of osteoporosis from a patient perspective, was held at 8:10 until 9:00.
