WOD 2005 'non mollare l'oso' campaign
The “Lega Italiana Osteoporosi” (LIOS) carried out a WOD campaign under the slogan “don’t let go of your bone” (rough translation of an Italian saying ‘non mollare l’oso) attracted great media coverage, with reports appearing in ten national newspapers and on two radio stations.The radio spots featured voice overs by celebrities.
To encourage movement and physical activity, the society produced step counters which were distributed at different meetings. 60 fitness centers across the country also participated in the WOD campaign.
LIOS also published 20000 diaries that included a different recipe for each month, a note book and a book featuring questions and answers on osteoporosis for the general public.
