Thailand's WOD activities
Thailand's World Osteoporosis Day activities were held during the annual meeting of the Thai Orthopaedic surgeons in Pattaya. The special WOD display and activities had a dual purpose: to increase awareness among the public and to heighten awareness ofthe orthopaedic surgeons who often do not realize their critical role in diagnosing and caring for osteoporosis patients.

A special booklet which featured the "Invest in your bones" report on bone development in youth authored by Prof. Philippe Bonjour in 2001, was distributed. It also included the "one minute risk test".
Throughout 2002 the Thai Osteoporosis Foundation has been carrying out a public awareness program in 32 locations of a prominant chain of department stores.
Using the "one minute risk test", these displays were aimed at increasing personal awareness of osteoporosis among the public.
