IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis, May 14-18, 2004, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis, held May 10-14 in Lisbon, Portugal, was the largest gathering ever of osteoporosis specialists, close to 6,000 participants.

The program, available worldwide and free-of-charge, includes some 20 presentations and covers recent cutting-edge research in osteoporosis, with many topics relevant for physicians treating patients with osteoporosis and related bone diseases, and four plenary lectures in which specialists discuss the pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention and management of the disease.

The webcast also includes an interview with internationally renowned photographer Oliviero Toscani, whose exhibition “Osteoporosis: A Photographic Vision” is part of the IOF European Osteoporosis Tour.
