Abstract Submission

Authors who submitted abstracts for the IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis 2004 can check online whether these were accepted for oral or poster presentation by clicking here (login required).

Abstract submission deadline has expired on December 5, 2003.

Submission deadline for Late Breaking News abstracts has expired on March 15, 2004.

Instructions for Poster Presentation

Abstracts scheduled for presentation in poster sessions will be grouped by category, numbered and listed in the Program and published in the Program & Abstracts book. See below for Poster Presentations schedules:

  1. Posters dimensions are to be 1.40 m high and 0.90 m width. They are made to accept double-sided tape ONLY which you must supply.

  2. Poster material must be large enough to be viewed from a distance of 1 meter (three feet)

  3. Each poster must have a label at the top listing the title of the paper and the names and affiliations of authors. Characters in the title must be at least 2.5 cm (one inch) high.

  4. Drawings should be simple with bold lines.

  5. Supply your own double-sided tape for mounting materials to poster boards.

  6. Authors must be at their posters during the designated poster session and must be available to answer questions during the period specifically prescribed for the presentation of their posters.

  7. Poster numbers in your final ID and the Programme & Abstract book are prefixed with the letter P and suffixed with letters which denote the day of presentation, ie, SA (Saturday, May 15th), SU (Sunday, May 16th), and MO (Monday, May 17th). These letters are not posted on the boards. Presenters should man their poster during the poster session on their designated presentation day.

  8. IOF does not accept any liability for posters or poster materials and will not adjudicate disputes between abstract presenters.

  9. Please note that children 12 years of age and under will not be permitted in the poster area or the exhibit hall at any time.

  10. Posters should be removed during the dismantling hours. Posters that remain after that time will be discarded.
