IOF-Novartis Young Scholars Program

IOF invites young scientists (maximum 40 years of age) to apply for the IOF-Novartis Young Scholars Program when submitting their abstracts to the IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis.

The abstracts will be rated by IOF’s experts based on criteria of excellence and originality. The presenting (first) authors of the 10 highest rated qualifying abstracts selected for poster presentations will be honored as IOF-Novartis Young Scholars. Winners will receive a prize consisting of a travel, accommodation and registration grant for the IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis in Toronto from June 2-6, 2006. They will also receive a certificate of recognition and be invited to present their work to a panel of experts for the purpose of receiving high-level feedback about their research and poster presentations. In addition, a dinner or lunch for the IOF-Novartis Young Scholars and the expert panel will be held to further informal follow-up discussions. High visibility will be given to the award winners through IOF communication channels and international press releases.
