The 2008 IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, which is centrally located in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok, with its long and fascinating history, boasts some of the country's most beautiful palaces, temples and museums. The city is also known for its excellent cuisine, nightlife and unlimited shopping opportunities.

Osteoporosis specialists and allied health professionals from around the world are invited to attend the Congress, which will provide a uniquely comprehensive overview of new developments in the field, ranging from basic and clinical research to advances in diagnosis and therapy. The world's leading experts will give plenary lectures on the field's hot topics and numerous "Meet-the-Experts" sessions will cover a wide range of clinical topics and regional issues. Poster sessions, satellite symposia and a large exhibition center will complement the exciting scientific program.
